Moon and Jupiter together April 2006

Celestial Bodies at the Pyramids

Moon and Jupiter at the same time in the frame of the wide angle camera (10.05. - 14.05.2006).

(Next opportunity for seeing the Moon and Jupiter together: 6.06.2006)

Here my calculated track estimates:

The images show a red line for the moon track and a blue line for the Jupiter track. The upper ends show the positions of the both at the same time, beginning their visible tracks. The two bodies reach the ends of their lines at same time too. The times are in Daylight Saving Time of Cairo.

The first day (10.05.2006) it will be probably impossible to see the Moon and Jupiter at the same time because yesterday night I found out that the moon allready disappeared in the haze at an altitude of 3.3 degrees.
