Moon and Jupiter at the same time in the frame of the wide angle camera (13.04. - 16.04.2006). Next opportunity for seeing the Moon and Jupiter together: 10.05.2006 The problem is the light of the upcoming day. I found that the Nightcam can resolve Jupiter until the sun has reached an "altitude" of -6° (beyond the horizon). Here my calculated track estimates for the month of April: The images show a red line for the moon track and a blue line for the Jupiter track. The upper ends show the positions of the both at the same time, beginning their visible tracks. The two bodies reach the ends of their lines at same time too.
Here some of the captures to compare with the forecasted tracks: Morning of 13.04.2004
Morning of 14.042006:
15.04.2006
The night from 15.04. to 16.04. we had cloudy weather so that the Moon and Jupiter were not observable, sorry! Diese Seite wurde erstellt am 11.04.2006 Letzte Aktualisierung: 14.05.2006
